How can I purchase Plans from the site?
Simply review the various pages and click on the order link below every plan set. Read the order information and take a few moments to open an account with us, then complete the order form. Then you can pay via Paypal or by check or money order.
What is the difference between emailed plans and mailed plans?
Emailed plans are sent at no extra charge in Adobe PDF format. You can get the free reader at www.adobe.com . The free reader will enable you to view and locally print the plans that are in 8.5 by 14" format. Large Format plans are 11 by 17" and are best printed by us.
There is a nominal surcharge for printed plans. This covers postage, envelopes and paper as well as printer run time. We print plans on demand. All printouts are originals and not distorted by photocopying.
What is included in a plans set?
There are three types of plan sets:
Starter Plans (Simple projects in 8.5" by 14" format)
Standard Plans (Simple to advanced plans in 8.5" by 14" format)
Large Format Plans (Advanced plans in 11" by 17" format)

How long does it take to get a set of plans?
Electronic Plans: If you pay via paypal, you can instantly download your plans. You can also download them again up to 5 times within a one week period. That allows you to order plans and download them later on, onto home computers, your laptop or anywhere that you are on line. If you lose your plans on your computer, you can email us direct and we can send them to you as an attachment. Periodically, when we review plans for updates they may be off line. In that case just email us and we will send the plans promptly. Mailed Plans: Because of our high volumes involved we send plans out in order batches usually every second day. You should expect to get them with 10 to 14 days.
We periodically review plans for improvements. These typically involve safety refinements, cost or labor reductions. If a plan happens to be under review when you order, we will advise you of special status. Usually plans are updated and released a few days afterwards.
What happens if plans get lost in the mail?
We guarantee delivery of our plans via mail and will replace lost sets at no charge.
I have not received my plans by email. What is going on?
If you do not receive an emailed set that you ordered, chances are that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or your mail system may block attachments or limit the size of an attachment passing through its mail portal. Check with your ISP for firewall and email settings. Free providers like Yahoo and Hotmail have limitations on what can be received to your email box. Internet Service Providers like MSN, Earthlink and AOL may also have restrictions set by default on your email settings. Usually direct downloads are unaffected by ISP email restrictions.
How big are the plans as email attachments and what format do they come in?
Our plans are emailed in Adobe Acrobat format and vary in size from 110 kilobytes to 8 Megabytes. Most plans are under 1 megabyte. What Tools and Materials Do I Need to Build the Plans?
The tools you will need to put together our projects will vary depending on their level of sophistication. However none of the projects require any special tools or materials that you cannot find at your local building center. Our plans are designed for the home builder in mind. Typical tools such as a power drill and a table saw will enable you to complete most of the projects. |
